![]() The game is random, the fixes just help contain and limit the randomness. When I reloaded that, everything was fixed. Then, when I reloaded a save from that playthrough, everything broke. On my second playthrough, with just the mouse fix and no fps capper, I played the whole game like butter, never once running into a problem. On my first playthrough with neither the fix nor vsync on, I got no bugs until the first zero-g jump, and from then on my game was absolutely unplayable until I fixed it. ![]() Would I be able to cap it at 120 FPS without getting any of the disabled v-sync bugs? I mean, the game seems to be completely unstable. ![]() The problem is that the mouse movement still feels pretty wonku when I'm playing at 60 FPS. I did use the mouse-fix, and I did lock my FPS through my Nvidia settings. The mouse problems are caused by calculations the game runs to determine how sensitive it should be, and one of the calculations is based on the framerate. ![]() Vsync in game just locks the game to 30 FPS since it assumes you're a console. If the fix solved the issue, then I would gladly buy the game for a third time.Originally posted by Cujo:You want this: Īnd then use a control panel (like the nvidia settings) to lock your FPS to at least 120-140, but usually 60. Has anyone here tried this fix yet? If so, how would you rate it? I want to play this game at 60fps on my computer, but I don't want to deal with bad mouse issues. But I want to know if this fix by Methanhydrat has done anything substantial to remove the mouse aiming issues. I have noticed that Dead Space 2 is currently 75% off in the current and ongoing Steam Sale. In November 2017, someone who goes by the user name Methanhydrat on the PC Gaming Wiki released a mouse fix for Dead Space 2. During those scenes, the mouse controls went from a 7/10 to something more like a 3/10. It was particularly terrible during interactive cutscenes where Isaac was dangling and the player had to make Isaac shoot enemies or limbs to continue the scene. However, my experience playing with mouse and keyboard on the PC was not a pleasant one, as the mouse in the game is just not very good quality. I have also played the PC version on a friend's computer. I am a huge fan of Dead Space 2 and have played it on Xbox 360 and PS3. ![]()
